I lead a charmed existence. I was born into a fairly well-to-do family late last October. My family consists of my mom, dad, granpa, the other granpa and granny and various others who dote on me. These days, I have taken to walking. I love it. So much more sophisticated than crawling on all fours.... though I still have to drop down on all fours if I have to get to somewhere real quick. Like catching granpa when he is leaving the house.
Like I said, my family being well-off, they have a lot of the good stuff , sugar they call it. There is a whole jar full of it. I have now and then managed to lay my hands on it when no one was looking. Unfortunately, there is no point if no one is looking - I still haven't managed to figure out how to open it. Luckily granpa is a good guy. Always obliging. Mum and Pa are not bad either. Ma kisses me a lot though. Will have to tell her to hold it soon. Soon as I can talk that is. She can cook really well. Love her kheer. And rice and dal. And poli and bhaji. And apples and pears and bananas and papayas and custard-apple. And the brown coloured medicine she gives me everyday.
Pa is a decent fellow. Ever ready for a good game of ball and bat. Rather hockey stick. I love that stick. Real good to whack the ball with. And to pull the ball out with if it rolls under the sofa. Mom showed me how to do that. She also let me have food with my own hands from my own plate today. I enjoyed that though I couldn't quite pop the little bits straight into the mouth.
Coming back to Pa, he is very respectful towards me. Never takes me anywhere forcibly. Always asks me where I wish to go - bedroom 1 or bedroom 2. I point. Kitchen or drawing room. I point. Its been some days since I have been doing that - pointing fingers. Whoever said it's a bad thing should ask me. Such a relief to point to the water bottle when I am thirsty. Or milk when I am hungry.
My house is also full of these fascinating things they calls switches and plugs. My family is real rich. Every room has several. They must be really valuable. Ma and Pa both stop me from even touching them!
Well bye for now. Its time for a snack. Have to build all the strength, they don't call me popeye for nothing at the day care. Have managed to pull open most of the drawers and cupboards. But have to hit the gym to manage the wardrobes.
Cheers
Tej
